Parad (i.e. Mercury) actually is the combination of Mercury and Silver. Silver is used to solidify the Mercury. Parad is the most auspicious metal used for worship (Pooja) of God/Goddess. It is mentioned in ancient Vedas that there is nothing pure and auspicious than Parad.
